I reincarnated to a world 1000 years later in search of someone stronger than myself.

But……what I saw there was a world where the magic civilization had declined.

Even in such a world, I didn’t get discouraged and attended the magic school in the royal capital, but….

“You wanted to see me?”

On a certain day.

The teachers called me, so I walked to the headmaster’s office alone.

There’s the headmaster sitting on a chair, with the homeroom teacher, Erika-sensei, and the former S-ranked adventurer, Desmond standing on both sides.

While stroking his white beard, the headmaster slowly opened his mouth.

“Hmm. Thank you for coming”

“What do you want from me?”

“It’s actually about the friendly match on the other day……”

It was a friendly match with the Empire.

“You did well in the friendly match. Thanks to Kurt, we were able to find out about the injustice of the Empire”

“No-no, it was thanks to everyone……but did you call me to say that?”

“That’s part of it……but the main subject is something else”

What could it be…, I’m having a bad feeling about this.

“The Empire was actually cheating. Erika-sensei and Desmond-sensei, who were waiting inside the <Treasure Labyrinth> also witnessed it. According to Kurt, there is a possibility that the worst-case scenario could have been human death. This is a very serious matter”

Desmond couldn’t seem to hide his anger either.

That’s how the empire intends to get away with it.

Fortunately, there were no victims in the Royal Capital’s side.

If anything, my magic has even wounded the representatives of the Empire’s side.

It seems that Arnold of the <Four Great Sages>, who was destroyed by the Holiness Gate, is listed as missing.

As for the Empire, I guess they will be saying it’s a Kyogen by Erika-sensei and Desmond.

“Still, we’re firmly protesting”

Once again, the headmaster leaned his elbows on the desk and continued his speech.

And I took something out of my pocket.

“This is……?”

“It’s a surveillance magical device”

During the friendly match, they tried to grasp our movements with this surveillance magical device.

Erika-sensei and Desmond looked closely at the surveillance magical device placed on the palm of my hand.

“It just looks like a squashed bug, isn’t it?”

“Because I crushed it whenever I see one. With this magic tool, all movements on the Royal Capital’s side were monitored by the Empire”

“Is, is that true!? But……I’ve never seen or heard of such a magic tool before?”

Erika-sensei gave me a surprised but skeptical look.

It seems that the magic tool that was used 1000 years ago, to deter crime is not common in this world too.

I used to see it in tool store and other places to prevent shoplifting and such.

It’s a technology beyond the current capabilities of this world.

“But……if it’s crushed, it can’t be used as evidence, can it? Kurt seems to know something, but we don’t know what it is. Won’t the Empire get away with it too?”

Desmond asked a question.

He has a point.

If it’s me, I could restore the broken surveillance magical device to its original state.

However, it’s not a common magic tool.

‘The Empire doesn’t use something like that! You guys are just making it up!’

I can imagine what the Empire would say.

“In that case, I still have other evidence”

“What’s that?”

“Can you make the room a little darker?”

I said. Then the window curtains were shut, and the room grew dim.

“Good……if it’s this wall, it should look clear on it”

The room was spacious.

I used projection magic on the pure white wall.

“Is, is this the scene……of the friendly match?”

“The footage is being played. What is the principle behind this?”

The headmaster, Erika-sensei and Desmond looked surprised when they saw the footage is being projected.

I can understand their reactions. The footage on the wall is showing the Empire’s representative starting the fight……and then it ended with the fight against the <Four Great Sages>.

“It’s a magic called Move Storage. I thought something like this might happen, so I was trying to capture the scene of the friendly match with this magic”

It just got to the point where Arnold was foolishly honest enough to admit that the Empire was cheating.

‘This is not your first time. At any rate, I guess you’ve done it many times before, right?’

‘Correct’

What an idiot.

I guess he didn’t even know that the footage was being recorded during the fight.

“H, how amazing……! With this, we can corner the Empire”

The headmaster trembled at the sight of the footage.

When Arnold was destroyed by the light, I stopped the projection magic.

“Ku, Kurt……are you saying that this kind of magic was activated during that fierce battle? How could you afford that?”

“As expected, Kurt is a man who doesn’t fit within the bounds of our common sense. For example, even if there was such magic, I didn’t expect it could save a footage this long……”

Erika-sensei and Desmond also looked confused.

I wish they wouldn’t be this surprised…….

Just in case, I saved all the footage from the beginning to the end of the friendly match.

It would surprise them more if I showed it, but it didn’t seem to be necessary right now, so I decided not to do it.

“But there’s still a little bit of a problem with this”
