Lately, I’ve wanted to go to a girl’s bar again for the first time in a while, but I can’t work up the courage. This is Koutarou Mifuji.
Thank you for purchasing the second volume of “Did You Think You Could Live a Normal Life in a World with a 1:5 Gender Ratio?”
…Well, you see, the thing is, the last time I went to a girl’s bar or that kind of establishment was actually about three years ago… and I’m writing the boy’s bar scenes in this work based on my memories from that time, but my memory has gotten pretty fuzzy. So I’d like to go for the sake of research, but isn’t it a bit high-level to go alone…?
Wait, does this even count as research…? Can I write it off as an expense? …Ah, no?
Well then, enough of this farce… Thank you for your patience. The overwhelmingly pure high school girl makes her long-awaited appearance. With this, all the heroines have assembled, and in the end, there’s even a development in the heroine race. That’s what this second volume has become.
The last scene of this volume was a story that got a big reaction even when it was published online, so I’m really glad I was able to write it up to this point. …Ah, I’m not talking about the part where Seira-san invites him out, okay?
This work was originally a web novel that got published, but from this second volume, there are more stories that haven’t been published online. The reason for that is, when I was writing the web novel, I was too conscious of the story’s tempo and ended up packing in developments too quickly. So, without changing the main plot of the story, of course, I’ve added in episodes so that you can properly empathize with the characters. I hope you enjoyed it.
And, I’m sure it will be announced at the same time as the release of this second volume, but it has been decided that this work will be getting a manga adaptation! Yay!
It’s a bit strange for me to say this myself, but I believe the biggest appeal of this work lies in the cuteness and emotional expressions of the heroines, so I’m excited that a manga adaptation, which makes those aspects easier to see, will be able to convey the charm of the work even more strongly. Please look forward to more news!
Continuing from the previous volume, my acknowledgements. To my editor, Mr. S, who worked hard on the manga adaptation. I’m always grateful. And my thanks to everyone in the editorial department who accepted it.
And to Jimmy-sama, who draws such wonderful illustrations. Thank you again for the truly amazing illustrations. No, but seriously, the Yuka in the frontispiece illustration, isn’t she just too cute?
And my thanks to everyone who picked up this book! I sincerely hope to see you again in the next volume! Until then!
While unashamedly setting Yuka and Seira-san as my computer background at a coffee shop,
