Chapter 1 – A Very Aggrieved Way to Transmigrate

“Little girl, wake up. Are you alright?”

Half-asleep, Song Zhen felt someone patting her, trying to wake her up. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw two young men dressed in light-blue long robes.

The slightly older one asked her gently, “Little girl, did you run into some trouble? Why are you sleeping out here in the wilderness?”

“When they came over, this girl was still sleeping soundly — she really does have a big, carefree heart.”

Song Zhen answered honestly, “It’s not really a big problem. I just don’t have any money.”

The two men: “……”

That did sound like a pretty big problem. But it was also something they couldn’t help with, so they changed the question.

“Then why don’t you go home? It’s dangerous to stay out here at night.”

When they passed by in the sky earlier, and when they glanced down, they saw Song Zhen lying peacefully on the grass. So peaceful that they even thought she was a corpse.”

Could it be that this young girl is thinking of doing something foolish because she has no money? That wouldn’t do.

Song Zhen opened her big round eyes and replied, ‘I don’t have a family. I’m the only one left in my whole family”

She had transmigrated into this world—of course she was alone now.

But the way she died was extremely embarrassing. Embarrassing even by modern standards.

She was just playing a game and complained a little—was it really necessary to make her suddenly drop dead?!

If she had suddenly died anywhere else, fine, but it just had to happen when she opened the toilet to use the bathroom. In the very last second before she died, she clearly felt her legs give out, her knees hit the floor, and her head plunged straight into the toilet bowl.

The feeling of being submerged in toilet water was especially real—but she only felt it for that one second before she suddenly died.

After she died, her soul drifted around for a few days. She watched, with her own eyes, the footage of herself collapsing to her knees with her head in the toilet bowl get recorded, watched that image of her appear on the news, and saw how—even after her death—netizens treated it like a joke.

Then a flash of white light brought her to this world.

After that, a mysterious voice echoed in her mind, telling her to make the Mystic Cloud Sect the number-one sect in the world, and afterward she could ascend to the immortal realm.

For that purpose, that person even gave her two abilities, teleportation and immortality.

Once the voice faded, she just lay down and went straight to sleep. It was already dark, time for bed—whatever needed to be done could wait until tomorrow.

But she had barely laid down before these two showed up and woke her. Song Zhen let out a deep sigh.

She died from not sleeping enough in her last life, and now she had just gotten ready to sleep—why was even resting so difficult?

Seeing her sighing softly, the two men’s sympathy surged instantly. We’re such awful people—we reminded her of her sad past…

They assumed they had touched a painful spot. After all, how pitiful was a little girl with no home?

At this moment, Song Zhen was also observing them. Their robes were identical, and they carried swords. Their looks were handsome and refined—they were clearly disciples of a cultivation sect.

Fellow sect disciples ought to know where the Mystic Cloud Sect was. If it was close, maybe she could shamelessly ask them to take her along.

As long as your face is thick enough, there’s nothing you can’t get done. If something can’t be done, it just means your face isn’t thick enough!

“Are you two from a cultivation sect? Do you know how to get to the Mystic Cloud Sect?”

Since she was already here, she might as well go all in. Becoming a cultivator—wasn’t that the ultimate dream of countless Chinese people?

The two disciples exchanged looks.

“We are disciples of the Mystic Cloud Sect. Do you wish to join? But, the path of cultivation isn’t easy.”

Hearing that they were from the Mystic Cloud Sect, Song Zhen’s eyes lit up instantly.

“Then could you take me to the Mystic Cloud Sect? I want to give it a try!”

Truly, things couldn’t get any smoother! Her luck was amazing!

But the two disciples looked troubled. They were ordered to descend the mountain to check if any demons were causing trouble in nearby towns. Bringing a random person back would be hard to explain.

And sect rules clearly stated that they couldn’t bring outsiders back casually. Breaking the rules meant punishment.

Seeing their hesitation, Song Zhen quickly said, “Senior brothers, it’s enough if you take me to the foot of the mountain. Whether I can join Mystic Cloud Sect will depend entirely on my own.”

She understood that generally, joining an immortal sect came with a whole bunch of rules and procedures.

Back in the game, she brute-forced her way through countless trials and eventually became the sect leader’s disciple.

If she could do it in a game, she could definitely do it in the real world too. Besides, she couldn’t die anyway, so she might as well go all out!

Just thinking about her two skills made Song Zhen a little excited.

Immortal plus Teleportation. These two together were perfect for acting like a sneaky trickster!

Hearing her say that, the two disciples also let out a sigh of relief.

If she had made an unreasonable demand, they really wouldn’t know what to do. Usually, people they rescued would try to follow them back, and when refused, would immediately turn hostile—even hurl insults.

After such experiences, they’d learned to leave right away after completing missions to avoid unnecessary trouble.

Looking into Song Zhen’s sincere round eyes, the two whispered to each other for a moment. Then they decided.

“Alright then. We can take you to the foot of the mountain. To join the Mystic Cloud Sect, you must rely on your own feet to walk from the base of the mountain to the top. You cannot use any external help. As long as you reach the top, you will become a fellow disciple of our sect.”

They would only escort her to the foot of the mountain—this didn’t violate the sect rules. Whether she made it up was her own problem.

Reaching the mountain top certainly wasn’t just a matter of walking. There would definitely be various trials along the way.
