Chapter 2 – Sword-riding? No, it’s riding the sword.

Hearing their answer, Song Zhen let out a relieved breath.

 “Thank you, senior brothers!”

Sure enough—there were still many kind people in this world!

It was already great that she made it to the foot of the mountain. If she had to find it on her own, who knows how long it would have taken her?

“No need to be so polite, junior sister. It’s just helping guide the way—it’s no big deal.  and get on the sword.”

Just as the two of them thought Song Zhen would stand on the sword, just like every cultivator would, the next second they saw her lift her leg and straddle it, sitting directly on the sword, just like riding a horse.

Their mouths formed perfect O’s. Their eyes almost popped out.

Y–you can do that?
Doesn’t the sword cut your thighs?!

Seeing the two of them frozen, Song Zhen urged, “Aren’t you going? It looks like dawn is coming.”

Only then did the two of them react. The world was vast and full of wonders—riding a sword was nothing unusual. As disciples of a cultivation sect, they had seen it all and didn’t need to make such a fuss.

They comforted themselves mentally and proceeded to stand on their swords, slowly lifting off.

It’s just… looking at the butt right in front of her, Song Zhen’s emotions were extremely complicated.

She had only thought about getting on the sword, without realizing the person in front was going to stand. Sitting like that, she ended up directly facing their thighs and backside.

She had just acted on impulse when she straddled the sword. Luckily, her immortality skill had an extra bonus: she couldn’t get hurt and wouldn’t feel any pain.

By the way… cultivators probably don’t fart, right? They’ve likely been on a fasting regimen and don’t eat regular grains anyway? R-right?

After hesitating internally for a long time, Song Zhen finally voiced her suggestion:
“Um, senior brother… Could I sit in front? Sitting behind like this feels a bit… awkward.”

The disciple standing in front didn’t hear clearly and bent down to listen.

That bend made his butt slam directly into Song Zhen’s face.

Song Zhen: …I knew this would happen.

The other disciple beside them almost died laughing.
“Ji Fan, the little girl wants to sit in front. You just smashed her head with your butt.”

The disciple named Ji Fan looked embarrassed.
“Sorry! Then let’s switch quickly.”

Song Zhen sighed and scooted forward with effort. Ji Fan stepped back a bit.

Just when she thought she could finally relax, a hand suddenly placed on top of her head.

Then she realized that wherever they flew, her head would be forced to turn in that direction—like a joystick or steering wheel in full control.

Ji Fan: “Senior Brother Kang, I don’t know why, but today controlling the sword feels…  unusually smooth.”

Kang Hua: “What is there to be unusual about? Don’t we travel like this every day?””

Song Zhen: …Of course it’s unusually smooth. You’ve turned the perfectly normal sword riding into driving a car.

But she couldn’t really complain, since she was still hitching a ride. Being used as a living steering wheel? A small price to pay.

All the way, Song Zhen felt her neck exercise more thoroughly than ever before. She also felt that by the end of this ride, she might lose two centimeters of height.

Along the way, other cultivators passed by, and everyone who saw Song Zhen reacted the same way:

Where’d this Iron-Bottom girl come from?
This female disciple really had tough buttocks!

One cultivator, inspired, tried to imitate her by sitting on his sword—only to immediately scream as his thigh got sliced open.

“Ahhh! I’m bleeding! Stop the bleeding, help me!”

His companions panicked as they tried to treat the wound, while silently thinking:

Serves you right! Is this something a normal person can do?!

Sword-riding isn’t the same as riding on one. She’s got an iron butt, and you don’t.

But I’ve got to say, that young girl is really something—her skin is really thick!

When they reached the Mystic Cloud Sect’s mountain gate, Song Zhen politely thanked them.

“Senior brothers, the next time I see you, it should be inside the sect. I’ll definitely enter Mystic Cloud Sect.”

Her tone was calm, yet strangely convincing.

Kang Hua and Ji Fan smiled and wished her well.

“May your wish come true. We hope we can call you ‘junior sister’ next time.”

After the two left, Song Zhen stared at the mountain peak towering into the clouds and sank into thought.

Climbing up with her legs would take forever—sword-riding is definitely much better. And based on her years of reading cultivation novels, there’s bound to be a trial along the way.

Well, let’s see what kind of trial it is first.

Meanwhile, Kang Hua and Ji Fan were talking about her.

“You think she’ll really be able to join the sect? Our Mystic Cloud Sect’s entry trials are harsh.”

Ji Fan quite liked Song Zhen; he actually hoped for a junior sister. He’s the youngest in their branch of disciples, but he also wants to be someone’s direct senior brother.

Mystic Cloud Sect was a great sect, but it didn’t have many disciples. Female disciples were even rarer.

Sword training is tough. Many female cultivators focus on spellcraft—there are more spell cultivators overall, and also sound cultivators. Although sound cultivation is popular, its requirements are even stricter.

After all, sound cultivators have to understand music theory, and that’s not something everyone can grasp.

Kang Hua recalled Song Zhen’s determined eyes and said with confidence, “Don’t worry. That girl will definitely become our junior sister. I trust my guts.”

At this moment, the future junior sister—already ‘reserved’ by the two senior brothers—was completely absorbed in the illusion realm, enjoying the drama.

The sect elder supervising the illusion stared speechlessly at the All-Seeing Mirror, which showed Song Zhen eating and drinking without a single care.

“Shouldn’t this young girl be rushing forward now? The sword is right by her side.”

After understanding the whole situation in the illusion realm, many disciples would have chosen to grab the sword and help the bride escape. So why is this little girl just… eating?

The illusion was set in a wedding scene. Song Zhen’s role was the bride’s cousin.

The bride was crying nonstop, unwilling to marry. Listening carefully, Song Zhen learned that the bride had been kidnapped.

She originally had a childhood sweetheart, but a villain took a fancy to her and abducted her, leading to this situation.

The groom-to-be was cruel, murderous, and notorious for abducting women. No one knew how many victims he’d taken already.

According to the usual way, to break the illusion, she should defeat the villain and rescue the bride.

But Song Zhen never followed normal logic.

“Cousin, don’t worry. I will protect you,” Song Zhen said, thumping her chest righteously. But everyone’s eyes clearly doubted her.

In this realm, her identity was a cousin who had practiced martial arts since childhood.

The bride cried, “Even if you practiced martial arts, how can you defeat that villain?”

Song Zhen: “Who said I have to beat him? I’m smart—Of course I’m going to outsmart him!”

Soon she pulled out a carrot from who-knows-where. She had taken it from the kitchen earlier, planning to snack on it—but now it had a new purpose.

She even had the bride tied the carrot to her waist, hidden under her skirt. Under everyone’s puzzled gaze, Song Zhen gave a sly smile and said,

“Doesn’t that guy like beauties? When he touches her, he’ll realize my cousin’s… is bigger than his. Let’s see if he freaks out.”

Everyone: ……

The sect elder: ……

The bride’s face stiffened as her mouth twitched.
“Will… this even work? It feels unreliable…”

Song Zhen crooked her mouth into a mischievous grin, perfectly nailing the domineering vibe.

“Cousin, don’t worry. I’ll set up an ambush in the bridal chamber in advance. I’ll definitely protect your purity!”

The people around her: ……Is this really going to work? Somehow, we’re starting to feel a bit sorry for that villain.

Song Zhen was grinning ear to ear, almost to the back of her head. Hahaha, something fun is coming!

She loved causing trouble the most!

She couldn’t wait to see the villain’s reaction—just hope it doesn’t give him a mental breakdown. That would be too entertaining.
