Effective July 13, 2026. Short on purpose, and honest.

1. What we keep

Running a reading platform means keeping more than a blog would. Here is all of it:

  • Your account — username, email address, and a securely hashed password (we cannot read it). If you enable two-factor authentication, its secret is stored for your account.
  • Your purse and ledger — Spirit Stone balances, unlocks, and donation records. Card and wallet details are handled entirely by our payment processors (NOWPayments for crypto, Patreon for pledges); we never see or store card numbers.
  • Your reading record — which chapters you have read and where you left off. This is what powers resume-where-you-left, your reading history, and the Guild Rolls. It syncs across your devices, and a copy of your last position also lives in your own browser.
  • Your words — comments, reviews, fix suggestions, and letters to the support desk; for translators and editors, the images they file in their team’s drawer.
  • How you read and what we show you — reading sessions (time and progress, with anti-fraud checks that may note your connection’s fingerprint), which books we suggested and which you opened, and the mute or “not for me” choices you make. This personalizes your own shelf and attributes revenue to translators fairly; you can correct or silence any suggestion from your dashboard, any time.
  • Technical basics — sign-in cookies (essential; the site cannot work without them) and ordinary server logs (IP, browser, pages) kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. Your active sign-in sessions are listed in your account settings, where you can end any of them.

2. What we do with it

We run the platform: keep you signed in, sync your reading, open what you unlocked, pay translators their posted share, and answer your letters. We personalize your shelf only from your own reading and your own corrections. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, we do not build advertising profiles, and nothing here is shared for ad targeting.

3. Who else touches it

Only the payment processors named above, and only for payments you start. If a law ever compels disclosure, we comply with the law — nothing more.

4. Your rights

Ask through the contact page and we will show you what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your personal data; anonymous ledger lines may remain where bookkeeping requires it (they no longer point at you).

5. Security

Passwords are hashed, payments stay with the processors, and access to reader data is limited to what running the site requires. No one can promise absolute security on the internet; we promise reasonable care and honesty if anything ever goes wrong.

6. Age

The platform is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their data. If that has happened, tell us and it will be removed.

7. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site before it takes effect. The current version always lives at this address.

Questions? The contact page reaches a human.

Second seal required

Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

A seal keeps your reading record across devices, rings the bell when a chapter binds, and signs your reviews.

Enter your email — if a seal is registered to it, a reset link follows.
