Chapter 22 – I Can Process It In Just 1 Second
“Did you just say processing…?”
The owner is trembling all over.
“Yes”
“What do you mean!? Isn’t this sword perfect? So why do you still need to process it!?”
Apparently, it seems like he is angry.
I feel bad for the owner, but this sword is useless as it is.
From the beginning I only see this sword as a material.
”I thought if I do this…….no, I thought I could make it a better sword”
“Who will be doing that?”
“I will”
“There’s no way you can do something like that!”
The owner leaned forward.
“Kurt, can you really do that?”
“Processing the master craftsman Abel’s weapon? Doing that would have adverse effect on it, wouldn’t it?”
Lara also tilted her head and Marise tried to stop me too.
“Now, now. Just wait and see”
And I took out a magic stone from the pocket of my clothes.
It was the magic stone I picked up in the <Treasure Labyrinth>.
This time, I’ll use it to quickly process the sword I bought.
”A magic stone…? How could you have such a high grade thing!”
The owner sputtered.
“Hmm, because I picked it up on the street?”
“It looked like a pebble, isn’t it…”
Marise’s face looked astounded.
“Then I’ll process it right away. Are you fine with it?”
“You bought that, so you’re free to do what you want with it but… are you really going to do it?”
“Yeah”
When I nodded, the owner who was angry a moment ago turned around and smiled.
“You’re really an interesting youngster. Fine. I’ll let you use my forge. You can display your skill there as much as you want”
“Oh it’s okay, because I’m already done with it”
“What?”
The owner nearly fell.
“S, say, when did you do that? ….hmm? Where is the magic stone you were holding earlier?”
“As I said just now. The magic stone has been infused into the sword”
“Infused…? How is that even possible…?”
The owner was shocked.
Is this era’s civilization using the method of processing magic stones directly, and substitute it with the blade and so on?
But it’s too wasteful to use a magic stone that contains a large amount of magic power in such a way.
So I infused the magic stone into the sword, grant it with magic… then processed it so that it would be easier to be fixed into the sword.
“What’s changed?”
“I think it looks the same, but…”
Lara and Marise looked closely at the sword.
……Could it be that they are doubting my processing skill?
Certainly, I was relatively bad in this kind of production magic since my past life.
Although I wasn’t good at it……but, there was only one blacksmith in the world who was a little better than me.
The golden color magic wasn’t really suitable for production jobs in the first place.
”By the way……owner. Do you have anything I can try and cut?”
I asked.
“To try it out? If that’s the case, there’s a mud puppet. It’s a puppet that’s as good as an Orichalcum. You can slash it as many times as you want and it will still be fine too!”
I’m pretty sure that was the fragile puppet used as a target during the entrance exam, isn’t it?
Well, that should be fine too.
It’s more than enough for a trial.
After that, the mud puppet was taken from the back of the shop and placed in front of me.
There are sign of countless cut that can be seen on the mud puppet.
Just like the owner said, the puppet was used as a test object, but I guess it proves that nobody has been able to cut it into half yet.
“Don’t put too much force on it, okay? Because there were some idiots who have broken their bones after putting too much force on it as the mud puppet was too tough”
The owner gave an advice.
“I understand. I’ll try not to put too much force on it”
Then I held my sword in one hand and looked at the mud puppet.
“Ei”
Just like that, I properly cut the mud puppet horizontally.
After that—-the mud puppet was cut into half cleanly.
”……ha?”
The owner was at a loss for words.
“Hmm… well, this is how it should be”
Because I only used one magic stone, so this is to be expected.
I sheathed my sword as I thought that.
”Thank you very much. Then I’ll be leaving now”
“W, wait a minute!”
I was detained.
“H, how does it cut that cleanly?
”Ahh. That’s because I granted it with the [Sharpness +500%], [Physical Strengthening +500%], [Lightweight] and so on magic after infusing the magic stone into it”
“You’ve granted it with magic in an instant just now? Besides, I’ve never heard of being able to grant double or triple layers of magic!”
The truth is I can grant more than that, but I think the owner might fell if he heard that.
So let’s not say anything else.
“Besides……I believe I had done a good job in making a good sword, but there’s just no way it can be used to cut the mud puppet into half with such a light swing!”
“Oh, I’m sorry. The mud puppet was certainly expensive, isn’t it. I’ll fix it right away”
“What!”
When I restored the mud puppet back to its original state using the restoration magic, the owner was even more shocked as if his eyes were about to be popped out.
“Well, it’s Kurt after all… I wonder if he also did the same thing with my ring last time after all?”
“That’s just natural. I don’t feel surprised anymore. Because it’s Kurt after all”
Both of them don’t seem too surprised, however there’s a mysterious astonished gaze.
Now.
I had bought a sword and fixed the mud puppet too, so my business here is finished.
Once again, as I was about to leave the weapon shop,
“Wait! ……No, please wait!”
He detained me again.
“I’m sorry that I’ve been so rude to you!”
“No no, I don’t mind. Then I’ll be on my way”
“M, my five best works……no! Just one! Just one sword, could you do something like you just did? You can name your price too!”
Good grief.
“That’s impossible. It will still be bad. Besides, I also don’t have any magic stone left, so I can’t do the same thing from earlier”
“That’s okay too! So……please! It’s a lifelong wish!”
The owner clasps his hands together and bowed.
I don’t think he is going to let me leave at this rate.
Nevertheless, I feel that doing it for free might be different in its own way.
It can’t be helped.
“Haa, I understand. Just one though. But I won’t be able to guarantee its quality”
“T, that’d be great!”
“However, I don’t need money. Hmm that’s right…… if you have any good materials, swords, or any information, could you let me know first?”
“Are you fine with just that?”
“I can do it in just 1 second, so there’s no need to be paid so much”
“O, one second?”
Right now, getting information should be a higher priority than money.
After that, I granted the owner’s prided item a [Slashing Speed +500%] magic and left the shop for real this time.

Chapter 21 – I Came To Buy A Sword
“Well……I’ve got some money now, hope I can buy a good sword with this”
When we left the guild, I muttered to myself.
“300 gold coins are……some money!? Kurt, how rich are you!”
“That’s not true. I was born and raised in a village in the countryside with ordinary parents”
“But even then, how can you have no sense in the value of money…?”
No sense of it huh?
300 gold coins are a large amount of money.
Apparently, the monetary value hasn’t changed much since my past life, so I can understand that much.
However, if I wanted to buy a good sword, I couldn’t afford it with 300 gold coins only.
For example, the ‘Demon Sword Riadojiku’ has a value of 5000 gold coins.
It is a magic sword that was said to destroy a country with just a single swing of it. But that’s only limited to places that do not have decent barrier.
……Well, I made that magic sword myself.
“Kurt. Do you not think of making one yourself?”
Marise asked.
“Marise-chan! There’s no way a sword can be made that easily!”
”There’s that too… but I had a feeling that Kurt could do it somehow”
“It’s impossible, impossible! After all Kurt is a mage, right? He is not a blacksmith—-“
“I can make it”
“Ehhh!”
Lara widen her eyes.
Each of her action is so big that I never get bored of watching it.
”So far, the swords I’ve obtained were never able to fit me nicely. So, I learnt that it’s faster to make my own”
“It’s faster to make one……I think that’s not normal”
“It’s said that to become a full-fledged blacksmith, one will require 20 years of rigorous training”
Marise replied with her arms crossed.
At any rate, even after 20 years, the stubborn craftsmen would still say, “You are 10 years too early to be in the forge! Until then, it will be all chores!”, it’s an inefficient way of training to be adopted, isn’t it?
I’ve had people like that in my past life.
Well, after the magic revolution, granting magic to weapons became the norm, so such craftsmen were naturally eliminated, but….
It’s because they don’t want to accept new things after all.
“I can also make it now. But the material is lacking. In order to create a sword that satisfies me, I might need to at least dive into the 100th layer of the <Treasure Labyrinth>”
But then it’s a small scale labyrinth, so it doesn’t seem to be possible to go to the 100th layer.
Buying a sword now is just a link to get there.
“As usual, Kurt says something outrageous without hesitation”
“No matter how capable Kurt is, I don’t think it’s possible to reach the 100th layer though?”
Lara and Marise were surprised, but if they also properly train their magic, they can even reach the 100th layer on their own.
Let’s get back to main topic.
”Well… do you know if there’s a good weapon shop in the royal capital?”
When I asked, Lara and Marise almost replied at the same time,
“I know! It’s No. 1 in royal capital… or rather, the weapon shop was said to be the best in the world!”
”That weapon shop is famous. That’s why customers from all over the world came looking for weapons there”
Oh.
That seems promising.
“Then let’s get going. I’m counting on you two to guide me there”
“”Yes!””
◆ ◆
We arrived at the weapon shop they had mentioned, but I was shocked when I walked into the shop.
”This is the best weapon shop in the world……?”
Before I got here, I went into a few other weapon shops too.
Those weapon shops…well, they were junk shops as far as I’m concerned…but they are a little better than this.
However, all of them were too low level.
”Fufufu, youngster. Are you fascinated by my weapons? However, I only sell weapons to people approved by me”
The owner appeared and told us that.
”As expected of the great craftsman Abel-san’s weapons”
“All of them are magnificent products”
Lara held a sword and Marise held a bow, their eyes were sparkling.
……Neither of those two weapons have been granted with magic?
The brittle metal, Orichalcum was used?
Is that what I think it is?
I might offend the owner if I said something like that, so I decided to keep quiet of it.
“Do you have any weapons that… oh?”
Even so, I didn’t give up and rummaged through the weapons, and there it was, at the place where it does not stand out around the corner.
“……This seems to be a little useable”
I hold the sword.
It can’t be helped that the Orichalcum was used. In this world, it seems that magic metal made by processing the magic stones are not common.
I used the analysis magic’s Analysis to peek into the details of the sword.
”Oh, youngster. Do you like that sword?”
Before I knew it, the owner came up to me and asked me that.
“Yeah”
“That’s my proudest weapon. I purposely placed it at a place that does not stand out…why do you think I did that?”
The owner looked at me suspiciously.
“First of all, the processing of the Orichalcum material is good. It must have taken a lot of time. It was done with care and has up to 87% purity remaining. It’s clear from the look of it that every millimeter of it has been taken care of”
“Youngster, you’re aware of what you’re talking about, aren’t you? Somehow I’m concerned about the purity but…”
The owner smiled.
“I like you! I didn’t know you could see that much with just one look! If it’s you, I will sell you my proudest product, the famous sword, Enmapeya!”
Are you calling it a famous sword yourself….
It’s not that good of a quality if I compare it to the common sense of 1000 years ago.
But this is definitely the most decent thing I’ve ever seen after I reincarnated.
So.
“Yes. Then I’m going to buy this one. What’s the price?”
“Don’t be surprised when you hear it… the price is 100 gold coins! It’s a small price to pay for this magic sword!”
“Here are the 100 gold coins. Please check it”
”Fufufu, was 100 gold coins too much for a child? But you’ll have to scrimp to buy this sword! As for you who have seen through my famous sword, Enmapeya, you should be able to buy it if you work as an adventurer for 10 years……, eh?”
The owner was shocked.
He’s a funny guy.
I said I would buy it with cash in one go.
”Y, you are the child of a noble, aren’t you…! Then this would be convincing. You have received a special education as a blacksmith, didn’t you”
The owner crossed his arms and trembled lightly.
I’m not a noble or anything, and I’m not aiming to be a blacksmith but….
”Then from now on that sword belongs to you! Take good care of it”
“Thank you very much”
I lowered my head.
And gripped the sword again then held the blade over the light to have a look at it.
“Kurt, good for you! It suits you very well~”
“Yes, it’s cool……or not, Lara! You don’t need a cool weapon! Functionality is the most important!”
”Ehh, isn’t it better to be cool or cute~?”
While Lara and Marise were fussing about something, I had completely finished analyzing it.
“Well then, let’s get on with this sword at once”
“Hmm?”
“Let me process it”
After I said that, the owner opened his eyes wide.

Chapter 20 – Something Unbelievable Happened After Exchanged The Behemoth For Cash
The Behemoth seems to be a <Disaster-class>, so seems like the process in exchanging it for cash is going to take some time.
It hasn’t been dismantled yet, so I guess there’s no helping it huh.
So as I thought I would have some time to spare….
“Kurt-san. The Guild Master is calling for you. Will you meet him once?”
“The guild master?”
What could the greatest person in a guild want from me.
”Gu, Guild Master? That’s Benedict-san, isn’t it?”
”I’ve heard that he rarely appears in public, and not many adventurers have seen him too…”
Apparently, he is a famous person.
Well, I’m sure I will depend a lot on the guild in the future, so it wouldn’t hurt to meet him.
We were guided by the receptionist to a room inside the guild.
“Is that you? The outrageous person who brought the Behemoth’s corpse here”
When we got there, a large man was sitting on the sofa.
“Yes”
“In addition, I also heard nonsense lies that it was brought using the storage magic…so how did you bring it here?”
”It’s not a lie. Storage magic is an extremely common and ordinary magic”
“There’s no way the storage magic is common!”
I was being questioned sharply.
As expected of the Guild Master, it seems I can’t deceive him.
We sat alongside of the opposing sofa.
“Wa wa wa! It’s the real Benedict-san~……!”
“I had hoped to see you at least once, but I never thought I would see you so soon”
I looked next to me and saw Lara and Marise were nervous.
“So what do you want from us?”
“The Behemoth was brought using the storage magic…. moreover, I heard it was a child, that’s just impossible, isn’t it?”
As if amazed, the guild master, Benedict sighed.
“I’ve heard that an outrageous genius was enrolled into the magic school this year… I never thought it would be this much”
“The information is coming in fast, isn’t it?”
“Of course. There are many people who become adventurers after graduating from the magic school. Information comes in whether you like it or not. Moreover, you’ve defeated that combat mania Desmond in the entrance exam, didn’t you?”
Desmond?
Oh, that S-ranked adventurer guy.
He was the man with the most backbone in this world, so I remembered him.
I would love to fight him again if possible.
“Desmond may have retired now, but he’s still the man who was famed as the strongest adventurer in the history. To have won against him……what kind of method did you actually used to achieve that?”
Desmond was certainly strong.
But, if Desmond is the strongest in the history…… let’s say 1000 years ago, what would I be then?
I feel bad for Desmond but if it’s the me from 1000 years ago, I’m confident that I can win even if I fought with one hand and one leg and furthermore with magic banned.
Come to think of it, in what way do they pass down my legends from my past life in this world?
I’ve done some quick research before but couldn’t find any of those stories.
“Benedict-san”
“Hmm, what is it?”
“Do you know of such a person?”
I decided to ask Benedict about it by telling him my name from my past life.
I thought the guild master would know something about it.
But.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know. What’s wrong? Is it someone that you know?”
“No, it’s not like that”
Well, since the magic revolution that should have happened 1000 years ago didn’t happen, so I was vaguely aware of getting this kind of answer.
“Now. Let’s cut to the chase, shall we?”
Benedict folded his arms and leaned forward slightly as he continued.
“I’ll be blunt. Do you intend to leave the magic school right now and become an adventurer?”
So it’s that kind of talk huh.
In this world, even that Behemoth has become a <Disaster-class>”
And I took it down in five seconds.
It’s only natural that I would be recruited by the guild master.
However.
“I refuse. I still have a lot to learn”
“I, I see……”
Benedict dropped his shoulders.
Or rather, why would you go out of your way to recruit a student who was just enrolled into a school?
Besides, I can always become an adventurer at any time.
Therefore, I want to enjoy the interesting school life that I have not experienced in my past life.
“I wonder if there’s anything for Kurt to learn?”
”A, as far as I’m concerned, I have a lot to learn when I study with Kurt, so it’s such a foolish question to ask!”
“Yes, me too! I’m not giving you Kurt!”
Lara and Marise from both sides grabbed my arm.
As they did so, the feel of their soft breasts on my arms made my body stiffen instinctively.
For me, it’s a hundred million times more nervous to have something like this done to me than to meet a guild master.
“But, Kurt. As I’m sure you already know about this, a student card from the magic school can also become a substitute for an adventurer license. You can take requests based on your ability, so please use it by all means”
“Yes, of course”
”Besides… if things get out of hand in the guild, I might ask Kurt to do me a favor… is that okay?”
“Well, as long as it’s reasonable”
I don’t want to make a fuss out of it, but if there’s a chance I’ll meet someone stronger than Desmond or even stronger than me, I’ll go anywhere just for that reason.
With this, I was able to kill time in a good way while talking with Benedict.
“Thank you for waiting! The cash conversion is over!”
The receptionist walked into the room while panting.
“How much was it?”
I don’t know what’s the value of a <Disaster-class> is in this world.
But I’ve defeated a pretty strong monster.
I think… I saw the reward was one gold coin!
”Y, yes! This is it!”
She placed a bag on the table in front of the sofa with a thud.
It looks heavy.
Could it be that it’s all copper coins?
”Whew…”
“C, could it be that you are feeling unsatisfied?”
I seem to have freaked out the receptionist by letting out a sigh unconsciously.
“No, it’s not like that”
After a follow-up, I looked inside the bag without much expectation.
Hmmm, this doesn’t look like a copper coin to me. Or rather, it’s a gold coin.
1 gold coin, 10… hmm? It looks like there’s more than 100 of it.
“300 gold coins! This is the price of the Behemoth!”
…Seriously?
It was 300 times more than I had originally expected.
“This is the first time I’ve seen this much of money~!”
“Of course. That’s what it means to defeat a <Disaster-class> monster”
Lara opened her eyes in surprise but Marise looked calm.
Yeah.
One thing I’ve learned in this case is this.
If this much can be obtained for defeating a Behemoth, then it seems like there will never be a shortage of money anymore after this.

Chapter 19 – It’s An Ordinary Magic
”Well then… I’m thinking of exchanging the Behemoth for cash, does both of you know where the guild is?”
In my past life, it was a common custom to exchange materials from monster for cash at the adventurer guild.
I don’t know the common sense in this world though….
”Exchanging monster for cash in the guild feels like being an adventurer! But I’m sorry. I don’t know where it is….”
”If that’s the case, I’ll guide you there. When I was little, I lived in the royal capital. Besides, I’ve visited there many times before the entrance exam”
“You are a lifesaver”
I’m glad.
Apparently, that common sense hasn’t changed in this world either.
Marise guided us to the adventurer guild.
“Is this the place?”
“Yeah. Let’s enter immediately”
Marise didn’t hesitate and walked into the guild.
Oh…?
She has a lot of guts.
In my past life, adventurer guild was a gathering of rowdy people.
If children like us entered the guild, we could be spotted and stripped off in no time.
Besides, because Marise is quite a pretty girl, that’s all the more for things to happen, I guess.
Now…. I wonder how interesting the adventurers in this world are.
While feeling excited, I entered after Marise.
“……hmm?”
“What’s the matter, Kurt?”
Marise cocked her head.
”This place, is it really an adventurer guild?”
“Yeah. Are you doubting me?”
Marise puffed out her cheeks, but it wasn’t like that.
“Let me see, isn’t it like a government office?”
“It’s a lot quieter at the government office”
“Quieter…?”
I’m shocked.
As far as I’m concerned, this guild is too quiet.
Certainly, I can hear sounds and people that look like an adventurer talking.
But, when they looked at us, they say “Oh? It’s unusual to see children here, isn’t it?” with a curious gaze, there’s also not a guy who would attack suddenly either .
“It’s kind of… peaceful, isn’t it?”
“As expected, Kurt has a lot of guts. I’ve been so nervous since entering in here!”
“Me too”
As far as I’m concerned, I think both of them should be more caution too.
If that’s the case, they will be able to defend against a sword that’s suddenly pointed at them to cut off their neck.
“…well anyway, let’s go to the reception desk”
While feeling uncomfortable, the three of us headed to a table that looked like a reception desk.
“Is this your first time in the guild?”
“Yes”
”If that’s the case, then we will start with creating an adventurer license…”
”No, we have the Rosanlila Magic Academy’s student card. We can use it as a substitution here, right?”
Marise appeared from the side and took out her student ID card.
The receptionist smiled as soon as she saw it.
“Yes. It’s definitely the magic school’s student card. Even so… first year students, which means it’s only the first day of school, isn’t it? How can I help you? Would you like a guild tour?”
“No, we had exterminated a monster, so we came here to exchange it for cash”
When I said that, the receptionist asked, “Exchange for cash……?” with blinking eyes.
“W, well, it’s only your first day at school and you’ve defeated a monster? That’s amazing! By the way, I heard that there are three geniuses in the magic school this year”
The receptionist said it in an excited tone.
Three geniuses huh….
So such a thing had been circulating around already.
Because the receptionist was so loud, it caught the attention of the other adventurers in the guild.
“However…I don’t see anything that looks like a monster material here though? I wonder if it’s a Wolf or something that was defeated. You didn’t bring it here?”
“No, I could put it out right now but… I don’t think it can be placed on this table though”
“……? What do you mean?”
“I think you’ll understand if you see it”
”I don’t really understand, but you can put it on the floor if you want. Anyway, if you could just show me the actual thing”
”Hmmm……”
The guild was a smaller place than I had thought it would be.
And the wall and floor appeared to be made of a soft material.
A floor that hasn’t been coated with magic… if I take out the Behemoth, won’t it come off?
Well, the receptionist says, “It’s fine”, so let’s take it out.
”Well, if you insist……”
I took out the Behemoth’s corpse from the storage magic.
From the sight of the receptionist and the other adventurers, it must have looked like a Behemoth suddenly appeared on an empty floor.
“Wow! How can there be a Behemoth here!”
”’Disaster-class’ monster inside the town…?”
“Wait a minute. This Behemoth, seems to be dead already!”
There was an uproar within the guild.
The receptionist and staff members were also in confusion and seemed to be at a loss for words.
“Please be at ease, everyone”
To allow the people who are in confusion to hear me, I raised my voice a little and continued.
”This is the monster I defeated in the <Treasure Labyrinth>. It’s already dead so it’s okay”
”Defeated in the <Treasure Labyrinth>…?”
Then everyone fearfully tapped the Behemoth’s body lightly.
“It’s true… it’s certainly dead. Looks like it’s safe”
“Thank goodness… I thought the royal capital was about to be destroyed”
Apparently after confirming it’s dead, the adventurers and guild officials seemed to pat their chests in relief.
Besides, a mere Behemoth was being exaggerated isn’t it?
If the royal capital can be destroyed by such a thing, wouldn’t the world be destroyed by the arrival of Dragons?
“All right……it certainly looks like the Behemoth. But where on earth did it come out from?”
“Oh, it’s my storage magic”
”Storage magic…? What is it? I’ve never heard of it”
Ah, that’s right.
It looks like the storage magic wasn’t common in this world.
But any more fuss will be too much trouble.
I want to live in (relatively) peace.
Fortunately, the receptionist doesn’t seem to know much about magic.
So I opened my mouth.
”It’s just an ordinary magic. It can be used by the children around here too. It might also be convenient for the housewives and so on”
“”It’s not ordinary! (No, it isn’t!)””
Lara and Marise voiced in unison and denied it.
Hey-hey, you two.
While I’m trying my best here to deceive them, don’t say any unnecessary things from the side!

Chapter 18 – It Seems The Small Animal Was A ‘Disaster Class‘
“Third layer is a plain?”
“Seems like it”
As we descended to the third layer, Lara with rounded eyes looked around restlessly.
It’s understandable.
The first layer was like a ruin and the second layer was like a forest.
It is understandable to be perplexed by such a spacious field all of a sudden.
“Isn’t this the area that will be used for the rookie’s match?”
Marise asked.
As Marise said, the friendly match will range from the first layer to the third layer.
I’m thinking it’s okay to dive deeper, but it seems to be for the safety of the students.
To explain the rules in more detail, it seems that each school will have a party of five people to be the representatives of respective school.
The party who gets more valuable items within the time limit wins.
“Oh, the monster is coming. Without any delay, both of you try using the chantless magic I taught you earlier”
“Ehh! Try it on a monster?”
A bird-shaped monster is coming from a distance.
Is that an Evil Bird….
Lara and Marise assumed a ready stance.
“If it’s the power of two people, it should be fine. I’ll lend you a hand if you’re in any danger”
“I’m feeling anxious, but I’ll do my best!”
“I understand!”
Lara and Marise shot a Fire Spear towards the flying Evil Bird.
Although they shot it several times, but it was difficult to hit the Evil Bird.
However.
“It got hit!”
The Fire Spear shot by Marise directly hit the Evil Bird.
The Evil Bird was knocked down and slowly fell then rolled to the ground.
”Does this mean the chantless magic battle ended with Marise’s victory?”
“You’re amazing~, Marise-chan!”
“O, of course!”
Marise, who was embraced by Lara, turned her gaze away, but her cheeks were slightly pink.
”Alright, let’s keep going like this…hmm?”
“What’s wrong, Kurt?”
“The atmosphere has changed”
A large monster was caught by the detection magic.
It seems to be coming from a distance.
This is….
“Both of you, Behemoth is coming in this way”
“Eh?”
“This is just the right place. We’ll engage it here”
”T, that’s absurd! When you think of Behemoth, isn’t it a ‘Disaster-class’ monster!”
So Behemoth is a ‘Disaster-class’…?
In my past life, it was the kind of monster that children used to hunt just for doing some practices, wasn’t it?
Without a doubt it’s stronger than a Lizardman or an Evil Bird.
But to me, they’re just small animals rather than monsters.
It’s not even a threat.
“Hmm, what’s wrong? Perhaps both of you are excited about the arrival of Behemoth?”
“”We’re scared! (is!)””
Their voices were aligned together.
In the meantime, Behemoth came right in front of us.
“B, big!”
Lara looked up at the Behemoth.
Behemoth is a large four-legged monster.
“Guooooo!”
Behemoth raised its front legs, intimidating us.
“Both of you stand back, I’ll settle this in 5 seconds”
“No matter how capable Kurt is, 5 seconds is just impossible!”
What are you talking about?
For me, it’s like yawning for five seconds.
Behemoth came at us with a roar.
I pulled out my sword and leaped after overlapped myself with body strengthening magic.
“You’ve got some nerve to come at me”
I overtook Behemoth’s head in a blink of an eye.
Behemoth doesn’t seem to be able to keep up with my movements.
I granted the sword itself with the [Sharpness] magic.
Then I went to the other side and cut off the Behemoth’s head and torso.
“If it’s Behemoth, then this is the way it should be too”
Behemoth’s body slowly collapsed to the ground.
“W, what happened!”
“I don’t know. It was too fast for me to see”
Lara and Marise came running up to me.
”It’s called granting magic. Instantly strengthening the sword…hmm?”
Then I looked at the sword I had brought with me.
A crack.
“Oops! It’s cracked!”
It made a sound like glass shattering, and the sword shattered into pieces.
“Hmm…as I thought, I need a better sword otherwise it can’t withstand my granting magic”
I stroked my chin as I looked at the sword that had left with its handle only.
It was a sword that I brought with me everywhere since I left the village.
It’s the kind of sword that will immediately be chipped off even if it’s used by ordinary people who can’t use magic.
It’s not that it couldn’t handle the impact from just now.
The sword disintegrated from the inside because it couldn’t withstand my magic power.
If it’s a cheap sword, it wouldn’t be particularly surprising in this case.
Or rather, it had endured well for this long.
“I’ll have to buy a new sword when I return to the royal capital”
I muttered to myself.
“Well then… it’s about time we return to the royal capital. That’s it for today. I’d like to get to the 100th layer if I could, but…”
“Please don’t say outrageous thing such as going to the 100th layer!”
“But strangely enough, if it’s Kurt, I cannot help thinking that he might just be able to do it”
But I didn’t bring enough of money with me to buy a new sword.
I want to use the magic stone to process weapons and so on….
In that case.
“Should I bring back the Behemoth with me?”
I glanced at the fallen Behemoth.
“How to bring it back though?”
”Lara, it has to be dismantled to bring it back. Even so, it’s not possible for the three of us to completely dismantle all of it…”
“What a waste”
“It cannot be helped”
What are the two of them talking about?
“Let’s bring back all of it”
“”Eh?””
“Here goes”
When I hold my hand up to the Behemoth, a pale light appeared.
And by the time the light was gone.
“Be, behemoth is gone?”
“Where did it go!”
Lara placed a hand on her mouth and Marise leaned forward in surprise.
“I used the storage magic. This way, we can take all of it back with us without the need to do troublesome job such as dismantling, right?”
Having said that, I personally don’t really like the storage magic. In order to carry it around, I would have to consume magic at all time while using the storage magic.
This is not enough to cause me to run out of magic yet, but it makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable.
“Storage magic! Wasn’t that a lost magic?”
“I’ve only heard of it in books….”
Apparently, storage magic isn’t common in this world either.
Which on earth is the common one and which isn’t…
Well, let’s look into that slowly.
”With this, I don’t have any regrets anymore. Let’s return to the royal capital”

Chapter 17 – I Tried To Get Them To Stop Chanting Magic
As we descended to the second layer, there was a lush green forest.
“Eh, why?”
“Kurt said the labyrinth is like a different dimension, didn’t he?”
“That’s how it is”
When changing layer, it is not uncommon for the surrounding landscape to change completely.
“It’s just the second layer after all. The one I have conquered—-no, from what I’ve heard, there’s a whole field covered in magma in the labyrinth”
“No way, we won’t even be able to walk on it”
“It’s true. So you’re saying that no human can conquer it?”
…but I conquered it in my past life.
It’s not particularly difficult.
To withstand the high temperature, you only need to modify the magic for body protection.
Other than that, in the labyrinth where you will be transferred between the space of the dimension if you let your guard down even a bit was more troublesome.
The encountered enemies were weak, so it was easy to get carried away.
It was difficult to return to the original place by interfering with the time axis every time I was transferred from one space to another space in the dimension.
“Then let’s proceed into the second layer”
“The deeper the layer, the harder it is to be conquered, right?”
“That’s right”
I answered Lara’s question.
“I wonder if I will be fine. I already had to give it my all back in the first layer”
“Don’t worry. Based on my observation, even if it’s just the two of us, we should be able to conquer the second layer”
That’s my true opinion.
And from what I saw, first layer and second layer doesn’t have much differences.
We proceeded through the forest while looking at the scenery around us.
“Gather yourselves together in these hands, O flame. Be a spear, pierce the enemy and burn them”
A club of monsters appeared and Marise unleashed her magic.
By the way… basically, I let Lara and Marise in handling the extermination of the monsters.
For magic, it’s important to know the theory but having actual battle experiences will be more crucial than that.
I promised to teach them magic after all.
So I have to assign them to do at least this much.
“What’s the matter, both of you? You look tired”
”Haaa, haaa… I’m okay. I don’t want to drag Kurt’s feet”
“I can still do it too!”
With that said, both of them are breathing heavily.
In addition to walking around, they are consuming their magic power.
It can’t be helped.
“Maybe we should take a break around here”
“I, inside the labyrinth?”
Marise open her eyes wide.
“Is that weird?”
“There’s nothing weird about that. It’s just that I can’t stay calm when I think the monsters could attack us at any time…”
”It’s not unusual to take a break inside the labyrinth. It can take days to conquer a labyrinth after all. Besides, you don’t have to worry about the monsters”
I went to a slightly open area and casted a barrier magic, Holiness Circle.
“I’m setting up the barrier here now. If it’s a weak monster, it shouldn’t even be able to find us”
“You just used a difficult magic as easily as that didn’t you?”
”I’ve heard that barrier magic is quite difficult to use though?”
Lara and Marise were surprised, but I don’t mind because I already know that this world has low magic skills.
I sat down on the ground.
“Phew, I’m alive again”
Lara and Marise also sat down in a circle.
”But still…with our magic power, we’ll have a hard time defeating even one monster”
Marise’s face darkened.
“That’s true. Kurt can defeat that many Lizardmen in an instant”
”Why is there such a difference between us and Kurt’s magic? It’s the same Fire Spear after all…”
The two of them seemed to be wondering.
”If it’s a lizardman of that size, both of you will be able to hunt it quickly too. There’s no need to panic”
”I’m feeling frustrated. How can I unleash a magic like Kurt’s?”
Marise got up on her knees and place them together.
The scene where both of them were casting their magic appeared on my mind.
”Hmmm, that’s right… why don’t you try to stop using the embarrassing chanting?
”Stop chanting…? Unleashing magic without chanting…”
“Yeah. And it’s easier that way once you get used to it”
“It’s just Kurt!”
Marise replied with a strong tone.
I looked at Lara and saw her nodding her head while saying “Yes, yes”.
Why’s that?
”It’s not hard to do it without chanting. Besides, if it’s a chanting magic, the magic power will be fixed, so it wouldn’t be as powerful as it should be”
Chanting magic is a method of automatically forming a magic formula when you chant it.
It was a common method used before the magic revolution.
However, because the magic formula is automatically formed, it is inevitably inapplicable.
In addition, since you have to say the chanting words one by one, the speed of deploying the magic will be slowed down too… and since it’s also difficult to make improvements to the magic formula in the first place, so the limit will be reached soon enough.
No matter how well talented Lara and Marise are, if they stay as they are, they’ll soon reach a wall.
“Have you two heard about the chantless magic?”
“I’ve heard that if you don’t chant, the magic formula will be constructed in an imperfect state and become useless”
”I also heard that you can only pour a tenth of the usual amount of magic without chanting, right?”
“What the hell?”
Good grief….
Why is it that the magic revolution that was supposed to have happened became like it has never happened before?
Such a classic way of using magic.
In my world, that would be a laughing stock.
“But how can we use the chantless magic?”
“That’s right. You should be aware that your common sense is not the same as our common sense”
”If it’s the current Lara and Marise, you’d be able to use the chantless magic in no time. That’s right, first of all Lara”
“Eh?”
I got Lara to her feet and took her hand from behind.
”Ku, ku…ku…kurt! What are you trying to do all of a sudden?”
“You’re shameless!”
“…what on earth are you two mistaking me for? Listen. I’m going to assist you now, so gather magic in your hands”
“Umm, like this?”
I can feel the magic gathering in both of Lara’s hands.
“That’s right. What does it feel like, now?”
“What do I feel…I feel like my hands are getting warm and cozy. And my heart is pounding”
“Good, that’s it. I’m sure your heart rate is rising too”
”Maybe, but I think it’s because Kurt is holding my hand…”
Why does her heart rate rise just because I’m grabbing her hand?
“Try forming the magic formula for Fire Spear in your mind”
”Hmm…is this okay?”
“That’s enough. Just keep your eyes open”
“Wow!”
Lara was surprised.
That’s because from her hand, a Fire Spear flew out and landed on the ground.
“J, just now! Even though I didn’t chant any magic, a Fire Spear flew out!”
“That’s right. This is chantless magic”
”The magic gathered with a bang and flew out of my hand with a bang!”
It’s a pretty abstract expression, but if she does it a few more times, she’ll get the feeling of chantless magic.
That way, the rest will be quick.
“Kurt! Me too!”
“All right, all right”
I did the same to Marise, holding her hand from behind.
“Ugh……it’s my first time holding hands with a man……”
Why is her neck up to her face dyed in bright red color?
–About an hour after that.
I taught both of them the chantless magic.
And the outcome.
“Yaa!”
“Haa!”
The two of them called out at the same time.
Then a small Fire Spear was shot from Lara and Marise’s hands.
“We did it! It’s the first time we’ve made it without Kurt’s help!”
“But…as expected, this is all I could do, aren’t the chanting magic stronger in this case”
Certainly, in terms of power and accuracy, the Fire Spear released from both of them now seemed to be weaker than before.
However.
”That’s because you’re not used to it yet. If you keep practicing a few times, you’ll soon be stronger with the chantless magic”
“How soon will it be?”
At Lara’s question, I thought about it for a moment,
“About three days”
“Three days! That fast?”
“Yeah. It’s a longer estimation though?”
After hearing my words, Lara and Marise’s eyes twinkled.
Hmm.
First of all, even if it’s just the two of them, I’m glad they are aware of the inefficiency of chanting.
”Well then, it’s about time we get going, shall we? The second layer doesn’t seem particularly unusual, let’s move on to the third layer”
“Yeah!”
“Yes!”
After removing the barrier, we headed to the third layer.

Chapter 16 – There Was A Hidden Passage On The First Layer
After school.
Just as I declared, I took Lara and Marise and headed for the <Treasure Labyrinth>.
“A, a…a…are you really sure it’s okay?”
”There are monsters in the labyrinth too! It’s an act of suicide!”
“It’s okay, it’s okay”
And I’ve gotten the permission from sensei to do so.
I can smell the unique scent of the magic elements after stepping into the <Treasure Labyrinth>.
Hmm, I missed this scent.
This scorching smell reminds me of the time in my past life when I explored more than 100 labyrinths.
”It’s gloomy… but there’s nothing I can’t see. Why is it like this even though it’s all pitch black in here?”
”And it looks very spacious. I didn’t expect something like this to spread underneath the Royal Capital…”
“Oh. Regarding the labyrinth, it’s like an alternate dimension, so there’s nothing strange about it”
“?”
They both cocked their heads at the same time.
“Are you two entering a labyrinth for the first time?”
“Of course!”
”I’ve heard about it before… they said it’s dangerous, and there’s only the <Treasure Labyrinth> in the vicinity”
If that’s the case, it can’t be helped if they don’t know.
“Listen. The labyrinth has magic elements that distort the dimension”
”Dimension…?”
”Oh…well, it’s like another world that has been extended out? You can think of it as that”
For example, let’s say it looks like it’s only about the size of a house.
But once you went inside, due to the dimensions being distorted so you will be transported to another world.
In that way, it’s wider than it looks… some of the layers inside the labyrinth are even bigger than the royal capital itself.
“I haven’t been able to figure out all the details too. But I know more about the labyrinth than the two of you”
“Kurt… who on earth are you?”
“How do you know so much about it when you’re our age?”
“If you think about it, there’s also the important details that I do not know of”
“That’s right”
I can’t say that it’s because I have knowledge from my past life, so I choose to stay silent
Or rather, they wouldn’t believe me even if I told them.
I’m sure I’m the only one who can use reincarnation magic in my past life.
With these thoughts in mind, we proceeded to the first layer of the labyrinth.
Then.
“Waa! There’s a monster!”
Suddenly, a small Lizardman appeared from the front.
“It’s a given. The <Treasure Labyrinth> is inhabited by monsters. However, it is possible to harvest materials from the monsters. You can also exchange the materials for cash. In other words, it’s <money>”
“I can’t think of that now!”
Marise got angry.
”If it’s about the size of a Lizardman, I think both of you can do it. This will be the first lesson. Try to cast your magic on that monster”
“M, me… defeating a monster?”
“Fighting a monster…it’s my first time”
It’s merely a Lizardman, but somehow the two of them seems to fear it.
In fact, I think even two people can defeat the monster by releasing Fire Spear at it five times.
As for Marise, she can do it in one-shot with the Holy Sword.
It can’t be helped.
“Then I’ll show you an example”
I drew my sword and pounced on the lizardman.
Quick Move and Rise Power were activated.
The Lizardman’s head was severed in one fell swoop.
“How about that? Isn’t it easy?”
“It’s not easy!”
“I couldn’t see it because it was too fast…”
Both of them retorted.
“But actually, Lizardman aren’t much of a monster. Both of you need to be brave…. Look. The Lizardmen are here again”
“Now there’s two of them!”
”That’s right. It’s something I’m going to have to do at some point… and I’m relieved that I have Kurt here!”
Marise was the first one to held up her hand.
“Gather yourselves together in these hands, O flame. Be a spear, pierce the enemy and burn them!”
and unleashed an attack.
The Fire Spear was released, it hit the Lizardman and toppled it.
“Now’s the time! Let’s finish it, Lara!”
“U, understood! –Gather yourselves together in these hands, O flame. Be a spear, pierce the enemy and burn them”
It was a pleasant sight to see them defeating the two Lizardmen by joining forces.
“Yay! Thank you, Marise-chan!”
“We did this! Thank you very much!”
Due to the facts of defeating the Lizardmen, they hold hands together and jumped with joy.
It’s truly a pleasant sight.
But Marise released her hand as soon as she noticed it.
”O, of course! I’m going to pass the magic school as a top student after all! So I have to be able to do at least this much!”
She said that while trying to disguise her embarrassment.
From the look of things, they seem to be on good terms with each other after all.
Right?
“Well then… it seems there’s no stronger monster than this on the first layer—hmm?”
“What’s wrong, Kurt?”
The detection magic was activated from the moment I entered the labyrinth.
A certain reaction was caught.
“Oh. This is interesting”
“Kurt?”
“Could you two come over here for a minute?”
I took the two of them with me and proceeded into the chosen right fork of the path.
“It’s a dead end, isn’t it? What are you planning to do now?”
“Until now, none of you have noticed it?”
“Eh?”
“There’s a path ahead”
Instead of answering them with a confused look on their faces, I casted Fire Spear onto the dead end wall.
DOGOooOOOON!
With a loud bang, the walls crumbled.
“The wall!”
“What is the meaning of this! The walls of the labyrinth can never be destroyed. So we have no choice but to conquer it slowly……that’s what I’ve read it in some books though”
“That common sense is wrong. Look at this”
It also depends on the strength of the wall, but there’s absolutely no such thing as a wall that can’t be destroyed.
“Is the path connected?”
With that kind of common sense, we will never be able to discover the path beyond the wall.
“Wa wa wa! Plus, there are so many Lizardmen!”
“They’re coming to attack us!”
Moreover, there are Lizardmen swarming at the other side of the path and are coming towards us.
There are about 20 of them in total.
There was a reaction coming from them, so I knew that if I broke down the wall, there would be a passage here.
This is a bit of a burden for both of them.
“It’s just the right time for a warm-up exercise”
With my back facing the frightened Lara and Marise, I stepped out into the horde of Lizardmen.
Then sprinted.
I went into the middle of the horde and deployed my lightning magic.
“Thunderstorm”
I muttered the name of the magic.
Thunder appeared from both of my hands and aimed towards the Lizardmen.
The Lizardmen saw the danger and tried to run away, but my lightning magic tracked them down too.
In about 10 seconds.
“Good. It’s over”
There’s a horde of electrocuted Lizardmen that can be seen sprawled on the ground.
I clapped my hands.
“Kurt, you’re amazing~!”
“I wonder if Kurt is more outrageous than I think he is…”
They look cheerful, I wish they wouldn’t praise me for this level of magic.
Because it would be embarrassing.
“This is… a magic stone?”
We continued on the path for a while, but this time it’s a real dead end.
There was a fallen magic stone there, so I picked it up.
“It’s a small magic stone, but it could be used to process something. I’ll take it”
I felt disappointed.
I thought there would be better treasures.
“I’ve heard that a magic stone is so expensive that even a tiny one is enough to build a house”
“It’s Kurt, after all. Somehow I can understand it even if I don’t change the color of my eyes to look at the magic stone”
For me who dropped my shoulders but for some reason, the two of them looked amazed.

Chapter 15 – It Seems There’s A Labyrinth
My self-introduction was somewhat prolonged, but it continued without any particular problem.
“My name is Lara! Everyone, please be my friends!”
“I’m Marise. Please be nice to me”
Among them, Lara and Marise were the ones who attracted the most attention.
It can’t be helped.
In the exam, Lara and Marise’s magic was ahead above the rest.
I guess it’s no wonder they get so much attention.
“Well then. Now that all 30 of you had self-introduced, there is something that I need to tell all of you. Let’s talk about it today then call it a day”
Putting her hands on the teacher’s desk, Erika-sensei continued in an even more serious tone of voice.
”I suppose all of you are also aware that there is a dungeon called the <Treasure Labyrinth> on the grounds of this school”
What.
Such interesting things exist.
I unconsciously leaned forward to listen to it.
“It’s a dungeon that leads to the underground of the <Treasure Labyrinth>. There are monsters living there and many treasures that no one has touched yet. Since you are a first year student, if you meet certain conditions, you will be able to challenge the <Treasure Labyrinth> and train your skills. At any rate, I’m sure all of you know about it too as it was written in the admission pamphlet given to you when you enrolled into Rosanlila Magic Academy”
I didn’t know that.
At any rate, a labyrinth huh….
1000 years ago, there was a dungeon called the labyrinth existed.
It was often used to earn a living and to collect materials for making magic tools.
The <Sorurahize Great Labyrinth>, which I had travelled to, went all the way down 1000 layers underground.
I had spent three days in the labyrinth, it was very enjoyable.
The <Treasure Labyrinth> is not as big as the Great Labyrinth, but I think it has about 300 layers?
“It is said that the <Treasure Labyrinth>, which is classified as the Great Labyrinth, has up to 100 layers. But no one has ever set foot on the lowest level, a labyrinth that is still shrouded in mystery”
I’ve been expecting most of this…. but apparently, it seems I’m wrong.
If it’s just 100 layers, isn’t that a very small labyrinth.
”Two months later in that <Treasure Labyrinth>. A friendly match will be held with the Imperial Magic Academy. Do any of you know anything about that?”
After sensei asked the question, about half the students in the class raised their hands.
Among them was Marise.
I suppose it’s quite well known.
“I’ll explain a little about the friendly match. To put it simply, it’s a competition with other schools. School representatives will dive into the labyrinth to see who can get more materials and treasure within the time limit. That’s what we’re competing for”
Oh, that sounds interesting.
”It’s being held for the purpose of a simple communication but… in the past few years, the Rosanlila Magic Academy has been losing to the Imperial Magic Academy — the Disaria Magic Academy. If we lose this time, it will be the first time in our history to have a 10 lose streaks”
That’s a lot of losses.
At any rate, the Empire was destroyed by the demon 1000 years ago.
But after so many years, they have succeeded in rebuilding the Empire.
There were many aristocrats that I disliked in the Empire, so it’s a country that I don’t want to remember too much about.
“I want to win this year at all costs! Let’s put an end to the disgrace of consecutive defeats! That’s why we need all of you to lend us your strength and help us out too!”
In the heat of it, sensei clenches her fist.
After that, sensei continued with a more detailed explanation of the rules.
The more I heard about it, the more questions I had in mind.
”Isn’t it a little strange to have so many consecutive defeats? Are the level between the Rosanlila Magic Academy and Imperial Magic Academy really that far off?”
So I asked sensei such a question.
Then sensei distorted her face in regret and,
”It’s not that….I don’t think there’s a huge difference in the level itself to that extent…we couldn’t win due to bad luck”
Bad luck?
There’s something fishy going on here.
It’s about the cowardly Empire after all. There’s also the possibility that they did something.
…No, that might not be true, because my knowledge of the cowardly Empire was from 1000 years ago.
They may be different in this world, it’s not good to have preconceived thoughts.
“But I think we’re going to win this year. After all, there are a lot of talented students this year. Everyone… let’s win this!”
“The first year students are going to be chosen as representatives?”
“Most of the representatives consist of third year students… but if there are any outstanding first year students, they will be selected. Or rather, one of them will definitely get selected this year!”
I had the impression that she was a bit cold, but it seems that Erika-sensei is actually quite passionate.
At any rate, it bothered me when sensei looked at me with a sparkling gaze while she was talking.
Well, that’s fine.
First of all, I have to become a representative and accumulate achievements.
And I do not intend to lose.
They say it’s for interaction, but a win is a win.
A complete victory will only be considered as a win.
◆ ◆
It was just as I was about to return to the house I was renting in the royal capital after sensei had finished talking.
“Kurt! May I have a moment?”
Lara walked over and tapped my shoulder.
“What is it?”
“I have a request… teach me some magic!”
Lara said that with a strong gaze while clenching her fists.
“What made you suddenly say that?”
“After listened to what Sensei said just now, I feel like I’m on fire! Besides, it was all thanks to Kurt during the exam. I don’t think I’m strong enough yet….”
“I don’t think that’s true”
“It’s true! That’s why I want to learn magic from Kurt and become stronger. Please, Kurt! No matter how hard the special training is, I’ll endure it!”
Hmm.
She’s a good child with an ambition to improve herself.
I don’t hate a child like this.
“Me too, please”
Just as I was wondering how I should reply, Marise also came over and said the same thing.
“Marise too?”
“Yes. I haven’t given up on my goal of graduating from this school as a top student. That’s when I figured that the best shortcut would be for you to teach me”
“So you’re trying to imply that you want to steal magic skills from me…?”
“I don’t mind if you think of it that way”
By looking at her eyes, it seems like Marise is all fired up too.
I’m not very good at teaching.
That’s because I was always acting alone 1000 years ago.
But…….
“Understood. I will teach both of you if you are fine with me”
“Yay~!”
“For real?”
Lara and Marise widen their eyes upon hearing my reply.
“However”
I pointed up one finger and continued talking.
“I want you to listen to my request too”
“Nani nani? If you’re fine with me, I’ll do anything for you~!”
“E, ecchi related things will not be accepted!”
Marise’s face was dyed red, what was she imagining?
“I want you to form a party with me for a while to dive into the <Treasure Labyrinth>”
“A party?”
They both spoke in unison.
It is fine for me to act alone, but I know it will be more efficient to conquer it with a party.
Besides, apparently first year students need to form a party of at least three people to dive into the <Treasure Labyrinth>.
For that reason, I’m going to train Lara and Marise.
It’s because I think they are the most talented in this class.
I’ve gotten tired of conquering the labyrinth all by myself 1000 years ago.
In that case — in this world, it would be interesting to try conquering it with a party.
“It’s kind of surprising”
“What’s that supposed to be?”
“You don’t look like that kind of person”
What are you saying?
It’s not like I like being alone.
In my past life, I wanted to make friends too but couldn’t.
“But, but! That’s two birds with one stone! If we are working together in the labyrinth, I’d be able to see Kurt up close”
“That’s true. If that’s the case, I look forward to it”
“Then it has been decided”
I couldn’t help but smiled naturally.
”If that’s the case, let’s dive right into the labyrinth as soon as we get used to the school life”
“What are you talking about, Lara?”
“Eh?”
I don’t have time for that.
“We’re going to dive in now”

Chapter 14 – I Was Suddenly In The Spotlight
“Kurt looks good and cool in the uniform!”
As soon as the announcement day of the examination results was over, Rosanlila Magic Academy handed out the school uniforms to the students, so I quickly put them on.
It seems to be made of a pretty good material for this world.
The material is light and tear-resistant.
“It looks good on you too, Lara”
“Thank you! Look at me~ Look at me~”
The skirt fluttered as Lara spun around.
I don’t mean to be flattering or anything, but I think it’s really cute.
“Frolicking in your uniforms….are you guys still kids!”
“Then Marise-chan is a kid, too”
“I, I’m not frolicking in my uniform! Wearing this uniform means that I am a student of the Magic School. I also won’t feel embarrassed when I go out….”
“From what I saw, Marise seems to be in high spirit too”
“Wha…!”
Marise suddenly sharpened her gaze.
However, truth to be told, the current Marise in her uniform sounded more excited than usual.
Moreover,
“I think Marise looks good too. It’s very pretty”
“Those words again…”
Marise’s cheek suddenly got dyed red.
…….Well, let’s put the uniform thing aside.
We then headed towards the <First> Class.
“I’m glad I’m in the same class as Kurt~”
“So I’ll get to see your magic a lot while we’re in the school!”
Apparently, it seems like I’m in the same class as Lara and Marise.
I’d be feeling lonely if there’s no acquaintances, and these two have good talents in magic.
Thinking ahead, it’s lucky to be in the same class.
When we arrived at the classroom, there were thirty students in the <First> class, including us.
I wonder if the other classes have the same number of students.
“First thing first, everyone. Congratulations on your admission. My name is Erika, and I’m your homeroom teacher of this <First> class”
And as soon as we sat down in the classroom, sensei told everyone.
Although she is a woman, she seems to be a strict sensei.
“You can affectionately call me ‘Eri-chan’”
………….
Silence fell over the classroom.
Apparently, what Erika-sensei just said was sloppy.
“Ko, kohon”
While feeling awkward, Erika-sensei cleared her throat.
“All of you will be spending the next three years in this school. It’s up to you to decide how you want to spend your three years’ time. It would be good to use it to practice some difficult magic. You could be diligent in your study. But let me tell you one thing. The person who spent the three years lazily, even if he or she had graduated from the magic school, would have a bleak future ahead of them. I want all of you to keep that in mind and live out the next three years in a fulfilling way”
The atmosphere in the classroom became tightened at Erika-sensei’s words.
“Nice to meet you~, Eri-chan!”
”H, hmm. Nice to meet you”
But only Lara was waving her hand and calling out sensei’s name in her usual tone.
Erika-sensei also looked a bit happy to be called Eri-chan.
Lara is healing this classroom for real.
“Well then, let’s start with the self-introduction. First, the top student, Kurt”
She looked at me.
I’m screwed…….
I don’t know what I should say.
Well, I don’t have to be like Erika, trying to be hilarious.
Let’s end it peacefully.
With that thought in mind, I move back my chair and stand up.
“I’m Kurt. Kurt Lepracta. I hope to enjoy a peaceful and happy life in this school. Nice to meet you all”
When I finished introducing myself, the students began whispering to each other after the sparse applause.
“Kurt of the first place. Oh, it’s that examinee number 99, right?”
“He broke five mud puppets in one fell swoop”
“It’s not just that. I heard that he was able to make a giant Sword of Light to appear, and even defeated the Knight Commander during the practical exam”
“But I heard that it’s a defective magic? That’s just impossible. I didn’t watch the fight but… that’s definitely a lie!”
Is it because I was being a little too conspicuous during the entrance exam?
It was only my first day of admission, and I’m already like a very famous person.
“Excuse me! Can I ask you a question, Kurt-kun!”
One of the girls raised her hand and stood up.
”Kurt-kun, you had an exam score of ∞, right? The full score is supposed to be 300 points only though…what does that mean?”
“I’m the one who wants to know about that too”
I shrugged.
Erika-sensei replied on my behalf as I was unable to answer that.
“It means exactly as it is. That’s because Kurt does not fall in the 300 points’ category”
“He doesn’t fit into the 300 points’ category……?”
“To be precise, we couldn’t score him, something like that. That’s right….Kurt. Can you try to solve this question for me?”
After saying that, Erika-sensei smoothly wrote out a magic formula on the blackboard.
Hmmmm..….It looks like the Efreet Flare magic.
In my past life, it was an Advanced Magic.
I never thought I’d be able to see something like this in this world….
“Hmm? But that’s….”
There are too many mistakes.
It’s going to blow up like that and the magic cannot be activated.
“Sensei. Isn’t it wrong, that magic formula”
“Oh? You think it’s wrong? Then write down the correct magic formula”
I didn’t expect that she would suddenly set a trick question.
I took the chalk from sensei and started writing the correct magic formula.
Efreet Flare is a relatively easy magic for me, but if I wanted to group it together properly, I would have to use the whole blackboard.
I finished writing that in a minute.
“Yes. This is the correct magic formula for the Efreet Flare”
Good grief.
If I could group it together in my mind, writing it in just 1 second will be an easy-peasy task too.
As expected, I can’t help but feel sluggish when writing magic formula by hands.
Erika-sensei looked at the magic formula I’d written seriously,
“Ohhh…! Awesome! It’s certainly more logical and beautiful in this way! I don’t think I have enough magic power to materialize it though… this will definitely get a lot of attention if I present it to the institution”
For some reason, she looked very excited.
“Sensei?”
“I, I’m sorry. It seems like I was overly excited”
“So… how is it, is it correct?”
“Hmm”
Sensei nodded and then,
“It’s not correct”
Eh?
Does that mean it’s a wrong answer?
“There is no correct answer in the first place. This Efreet Flare magic, I also just know about it now”
“What do you mean, sensei?”
“This is one of the ‘Lost Magic’ that is said to have been lost a long time ago. There is no one in this school– or in the entire world who can handle this”
Seriously?
No matter how advanced the magic is, if it was someone who could use a little bit of magic, that person would surely be able to release the magic with a bang.
It’s the kind of magic that’s good for attacking a wide range of area.
If the opponent hadn’t put up a barrier or anything, one city could be blown away easily, but in reality, that’s not possible.
This is because after the magic revolution 1000 years ago, it was common for a city to be destroyed by this level of magic.
”However, the description of the lost magic that remains in the old literature… the result of deciphering it and restoring it as much as possible was the magic formula I wrote earlier…… The one written by Kurt was several more splendid. It’s on a different level”
Sensei mumbles.
In contrast, the students who were watching,
“Is a magic formula supposed to be that long?”
”Wouldn’t it take an hour to set up in the middle of a fight? And what’s with the chanting?”
And said that something’s a little off with it.
“……everyone, do you understand now? The exam also had a same level question as this. With this, we had no choice but to give him an ‘∞’ score. Without a doubt, he’s the undisputed top student”
Upon hearing this, nobody appears to ask questions or complain about it.

Chapter 13 – I Came To See The Examination Results
“What do you think of this year’s examinees?”
Inside the conference room of the Rosanlila Magic Academy.
The staff had gathered there to discuss this year’s exam.
“It’s very good”
One of the staff members said.
”First, from the famous family of mage, the daughter of the Sizenosna family, Marise Sizenosna. Even though she has ‘inferior magic’, her talents are amazing. She had also used superlative magic in the practical exam. She’s by far the most outstanding student in the examination”
“That girl Lara, was splendid too. Even though she couldn’t hit the mud puppet, but she was able to unleash a high-powered spell. She will get stronger with training”
Everyone in the conference room seemed to be excited as they uttered their notable examinees one after another.
The headmaster crossed his arms and listened to it in silence but,
“Hmm. I understand what you guys were saying. But there was only one boy with extraordinary powers, isn’t it? A boy named Kurt”
At the mention of that name, the previously talkative examiners stopped talking.
The magic of that boy, Kurt, was too overwhelming.
So much so that it was as if they were witnessing a pipe dream.
“What about Kurt’s test scores?”
“Of course, he has exceeded the passing score for both the target and practical examinations”
“What about his written exam?”
“His written exam was splendid too. The magic formula he drew was several levels higher than what we had expected, and the best one was the final question”
“The final question… Oh, that question was made based on the assumption that it couldn’t be solved”
”That’s right, it’s from the lost magic theory from 1000 years ago. What he wrote on his answer sheet was supplemented by the theory of the lost magic, which was said to be ‘unfeasible’”
“What did you say…?”
”If you present it to the institute, there will be a revolution. That’s the kind of content. Besides, our current ability hasn’t reach there yet”
The staff members shrugged.
Upon hearing this, the headmaster was totally at a loss for words by the arrival of great talents.
It is possible that Kurt — will be able to achieve the ‘revolution’ that the headmaster desired.
“Then it has been decided”
“Yeah. No complaints”
“Good. Kurt Lepracta will—”
◆ ◆
Time flies, finally the day of the examination result announcement had arrived.
“I’m nervous”
As I made my way to the magic school, Lara said, “Kurt! Let’s go see it together!” and ran over to me.
There was no particular reason to refuse, so we decided to go see the examination result together.
“I guess so”
“Do you really think so? Kurt, you look the same as usual….”
“That’s not true. I’m also worried about whether I’ve really passed”
This is a truth.
I was confident in the exam content, but it’s also possible that I may have made a huge mistake.
Perhaps the examiner was not satisfied with my performance, or maybe I had been disqualified.
”If it’s Kurt, it will be a pass for sure! Or rather, if Kurt can’t pass, no one can”
While having such a conversation, we proceeded to the place where the scores of the examination result were presented.
When I observed the surroundings, everyone looked tense.
At that moment.
“Ah”
Just as I thought someone called out, a girl approached us in increasing steps.
“Kurt Lepracta!”
“You’re…if I’m not mistaken, it’s Marise right?”
“So you still remember me”
Marise patted her chest in relief.
However, she quickly shook her head.
”O, of course, right! We did fight during the practical exam after all! Though there was a difference in our abilities……”
“You’re mumbling something, are you all right?”
“I’m fine!”
Marise crossed her arms and looked away.
Marise… In the low level exam, she was the only one who used the intermediate magic Holy Sword.
Lara was the same too, I noticed she has good aptitude.
“Besides… it’s shameless to bring a girl with you on an important day such as the announcement day of the examination result!”
“Huh? Me?”
“I’m right after all, isn’t it? It’s truly regrettable! How could I lose to such a guy…”
”Wa wa wa, Kurt and I don’t have the kind of relationship that Marise-chan was thinking about! Though that is what I’m hoping for eventually…”
Lara was murmuring something.
I know a thing or two about magic.
However, since I was unfamiliar with such experiences from my past life, I don’t really understand what a girl is thinking about.
“Marise-chan. I’m Lara. Nice to meet you!”
“Nice to meet you…eh, I didn’t come to this school to make friends!”
Umu.
It seems like they are getting along well.
“Oh. They’re going to post the examination results”
While we were doing that, a person who seemed to be the staff member came over and posted a large piece of paper on the notice board.
There were the examinees’ number and something that looked like the scores written next to it.
“The test score for each of the written, target and practical examinations are 100 points respectively. That’s a total of 300 points, and 170 points and above will be the passing score this time”
The staff member announced that,
“Eh? 170 points! It was just 140 points last year…”
“Does that mean the level is higher this year?”
Lots of complaints can be heard from the surroundings.
I don’t know about last year, but the current moment is much more important.
Starting from the bottom of the large piece of paper, I looked at the examinees’ number in order.
……don’t have.
It’s not easy to find it, huh?
Where the hell is it?
Could it be I failed?
At last, there were only the top five examinees left.
With my heart thumping, I continued to look up.
‘Examinee number 99 | ∞ points’ <— (Infinity)
There it is.
99 means it’s me.
“A, ah there it is! I did it!”
”Wow, I did it too! Though it’s not the kind of target that I was aiming for…”
It looks like Lara and Marise had passed too as they were jumping up and down happily.
“So I had passed too. I thought I had failed because my number weren’t showing up”
“That can’t be true!”
”That’s right. And what does the ∞ points mean? Even I, in the second place, have a score of 285 points only…
That’s what I want to know too.
“In any case, I’m glad I passed the examination”
With this, I’m now a first-year student at the Magic Academy.
